Abby DixAbby Dix began her career as a still photographer, having studied photography and design in college. Abby has garnered a reputation as a superb kids and real people director, in addition to shooting a wide variety of images from lifestyle shots of people celebrating daily life, to narrative dialog, to strong portraits that inform and inspire. She is director of photography on much of her work, as her comfort with the camera allows her to express her vision more freely. Abby’s greatest strength is working with on-camera talent. She is focused on combining dialogue and storytelling with highly art directed visuals, and has a terrific rapport with young talent and ’tweens. Her warmth and humor make her a natural when coaxing the best performance out of real people. She has also worked with numerous celebrities and sports personalities including Muhammed Ali, Kareem Abdul Jaabar, NFL players from many teams, Joan Rivers, Oprah Winfrey, Sarah, Duchess of York and many others.* In addition to commercial work, Abby has shot documentaries in locations as remote as Inner Mongolia for Land’s End, the American Girl TV pilot, and produced, lensed and directed an award winning documentary on foster children, “No Place to Call Home.” She has produced and directed numerous corporate long format shows for clients all over the world.
